Since I have been on Tumblr for at least 4 years now (but am still just now getting into a bunch of shows and ships) I wonder how many things I scrolled past before without a thought, not knowing or caring what they mean, that now have the power to bring me to complete jubilation or a torrid of tears.

Why not? After all, he jumped 30 metres in Star Trek.
Wait. So THAT’S why he survived the jump … and can come back in Season 3. And in 2259.
Oh god. Sherlock is Khan’s secret origin. A high functioning genius sociopath on a mission of superiority, preserved in cryo for nearly 300 years. (Well, he’s 300 years old, so assuming he was born in the 1970s or 80s… that’s pretty much exactly 300 years. And the timeline was taken from one of the other cryo people, so it doesn’t matter when he actually got woken up.)Sherlock is Khan’s secret origin. That means that season three is going to be Sherlock getting increasingly bored, then creating his own race of superior beings (out of his and John’s DNA, I assume, SLASHBABIES), panics lots of people while pursuing forced improvement which then escalates into outright conflict, and finally a genocide cause, and the world’s governments banding together to stop him and forced into an arms race escalation all the way to SPACE. At the last minute, he steals a NASA spaceship (heavily modified of course) and the cryotechnology and escapes out of range of inferior Earth technology.
Somebody better write this.

It’s like Yahoo wanted to explore the site they wanted to buy and asked David Karp for some tag suggestions.

“Oh, look up Supernatural, they’re pretty cool.”

“Doctor Who fans make some awesome stuff as well.”

“Sherlock fans are harmless.”

When news sites act like no one knew who Benedict Cumberbatch was before Star Trek.
